Attorney Owolabi M. Salis went to school at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, and got two degrees there. In the Nigerian state of Kaduna, a research university is run by the federal government called Ahmadu Bello University. It is named after Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first premier of Northern Nigeria.
The university opened in 1962 and has three primary campuses. Salis went to school at the Kongo campus. The schools of law and administration are located on the Kongo campus of Ahmadu Bello University. One of Nigeria's most prominent teaching hospitals is also part of the university.
Salis has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Ahmadu Bello University and a Master of Science in accounting from the same school.

Salis went to the University of Lagos as well. The University of Lagos is a public research university in Lagos, Nigeria. The Gulf of Guinea and the giant Lagos Lagoon separate Nigeria's largest city from the rest of the country.
